Privacy Policy for Walk and Conquer
Effective date: 2026-08-24
Overview
Walk and Conquer is operated by Zorbey Torunoğlu, an individual developer based in the Republic of Turkey. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, retained, and deleted when you use the Walk and Conquer mobile apps and related services.
Walk and Conquer is a real-world activity and territory game. Location, walk, profile, and gameplay data are necessary for core features such as active walks, maps, territory ownership, achievements, and leaderboards.
Information we collect
Account and profile information may include your authentication account identifier, display name, avatar, profile colors, notification preferences, FCM push token, and settings such as nearby visibility.
Activity and gameplay information may include active-walk location samples, route and distance data, timing, speed, accuracy, sensor and anti-abuse signals, walk summaries, territories, territory centroids, achievements, XP, streaks, cooldowns, leaderboard entries, conquests, finalization records, and finalization input snapshots.
Optional body metrics may include weight, height, age, and gender when you choose to save them. These metrics are used for calorie estimates. They can be left blank or cleared in Settings, and default values shown in the interface are not saved unless you explicitly save them.
Diagnostic and crash logs: We collect non-identifying technical diagnostics, error traces, and crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to monitor stability, identify bugs, and resolve technical issues. Collected data may include stack traces, device model, operating system version, and internal session identifiers. Diagnostic logs do not include precise GPS coordinates or advertising identifiers.
Request, operational, and abuse-prevention logs may include technical information such as timestamps, IP address, user agent, device or app details, account identifiers, request paths, and error details.
Fitness and calorie disclaimer
Calorie estimates, walking statistics, distance measurements, and pace calculations provided in Walk and Conquer are purely estimates for recreational and gamification purposes. They do not constitute medical, dietary, or healthcare advice.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, record walks, calculate territory and achievements, show leaderboards, power realtime map features, estimate calories when body metrics are provided, send notifications, prevent cheating or abuse, troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and provide support.
Walk and Conquer does not sell or rent personal data and does not use your data for third-party advertising or ad tracking.
Nearby visibility
Nearby visibility is off by default. If you enable it, your active walk presence and profile information may be visible to nearby players while the feature is active.
You can turn nearby visibility off in Settings. Turning it off stops sharing your active nearby presence through that feature, but location data may still be processed for active walk, anti-abuse, map, and territory functionality.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by service providers that help run the app, including authentication (Firebase Auth), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), crash reporting and diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics by Google LLC), Remote Config, maps (Mapbox), cloud hosting (Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany), databases (MongoDB), Redis cache, and app store platforms.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a transfer of the app or service subject to appropriate protections.
Retention and deletion
Account and gameplay data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, primary active-store data is deleted immediately from systems under our control, including your profile, avatar files, FCM tokens, live positions, leaderboards, achievements, walks, finalization records and snapshots, active Redis state, owned territories, and territory centroids.
Backups and disaster-recovery copies may lag behind primary deletion and expire within 14 days. Request, diagnostic, and operational logs are retained for up to 30 days unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
Children
Walk and Conquer is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Data rights and governing law
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as GDPR, KVKK, or CCPA), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
This Privacy Policy and any disputes arising out of or related to it shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts and enforcement offices of Sivas, Turkey.
Security and changes
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for the service, but no online service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
